Terms & Conditions.

These Terms & Conditions explain the rules that apply when you access or use RedCaptcha, create an account or use our website protection and human verification services.

Last updated: 14 September 2026
By creating a RedCaptcha account or using the RedCaptcha service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of the RedCaptcha website at www.redcaptcha.com, your RedCaptcha account and any services, software, APIs, widgets, verification systems or related features made available by RedCaptcha.

By registering for an account, integrating RedCaptcha into a website or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you are using RedCaptcha on behalf of a company, organisation or other legal entity, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

2. The RedCaptcha Service

RedCaptcha provides tools designed to help website owners identify and reduce automated form submissions, spam, bots and other unwanted automated activity.

The Service may include:

  • human verification tools;
  • website and domain verification;
  • public site keys and private verification secrets;
  • server-side verification services;
  • submission and usage monitoring;
  • rate limiting and abuse prevention;
  • account management tools; and
  • other related features introduced by RedCaptcha from time to time.

RedCaptcha is intended to reduce automated abuse. We do not guarantee that every bot, automated request, malicious user or fraudulent submission will be detected or blocked.

3. Account Registration

You may be required to create an account before using certain RedCaptcha services.

You agree to provide information that is accurate and reasonably up to date when registering your account.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password, API credentials, site keys, secret keys and any other private authentication information associated with your account.

Your private secret keys must not be included in publicly accessible website code or otherwise intentionally disclosed to third parties.

You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless you notify us of unauthorised access within a reasonable period after becoming aware of it.

You must notify RedCaptcha if you believe your account or credentials have been compromised.

4. Websites and Domains

You may only register, configure or use RedCaptcha on websites or domains that you own, control or have been authorised to manage.

RedCaptcha may use website or domain information to confirm that requests originate from authorised websites and to help prevent misuse of site keys.

You are responsible for configuring RedCaptcha correctly on your website and for ensuring that your server verifies RedCaptcha responses before accepting protected submissions where server-side verification is required.

RedCaptcha is not responsible for protection failures caused by incorrect integration, failure to perform server-side verification, exposed secret keys or modifications made to the integration by you or a third party.

5. Acceptable Use

You may not use RedCaptcha:

  • for unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive purposes;
  • to operate or support malicious software, phishing websites or fraudulent services;
  • to interfere with or attempt to bypass RedCaptcha security systems;
  • to reverse engineer, probe or deliberately attack the Service;
  • to overload, disrupt or degrade RedCaptcha infrastructure;
  • to obtain unauthorised access to another user's account, data or credentials;
  • to resell or redistribute the Service without written permission from RedCaptcha;
  • to conceal or assist illegal activity; or
  • in any manner that could reasonably damage RedCaptcha, its infrastructure or other users.

We may restrict or suspend accounts where we reasonably believe the Service is being abused or used in breach of these Terms.

6. Plans, Pricing and Billing

RedCaptcha may offer free and paid subscription plans. Current plans, prices and usage limits are displayed on the RedCaptcha website.

Unless stated otherwise, paid plans are billed in advance for the applicable subscription period.

Prices may be changed from time to time. Where practical, existing paid customers will be given reasonable notice before a material pricing change applies to their next billing period.

Taxes, duties or similar charges may be added where required by law.

If an automatic payment fails, we may retry the payment, request an alternative payment method, restrict the account or move the account to a different plan where appropriate.

Unless otherwise required by applicable consumer law, fees already paid for a subscription period are not automatically refundable simply because the customer stops using the Service before the end of that period.

7. Usage and Submission Limits

Each RedCaptcha plan may include a monthly or periodic limit on verification requests, submissions, websites, domains or other Service features.

If your usage exceeds the limits included in your plan, RedCaptcha may require you to upgrade, restrict additional usage or charge additional fees where those fees have been disclosed as part of your plan.

Usage calculations recorded by RedCaptcha systems will be used to determine account usage for billing and plan-limit purposes unless an obvious technical error has occurred.

8. Service Availability

We aim to keep RedCaptcha available and operating reliably, but no internet-based service can be guaranteed to operate without interruption.

The Service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, upgrades, internet failures, hosting-provider failures, attacks, technical faults or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We may modify, improve, replace or discontinue individual features where reasonably necessary to operate, secure or improve the Service.

Unless we have entered into a separate written service-level agreement with you, RedCaptcha does not guarantee a specific level of uptime.

9. Security

RedCaptcha uses technical and operational measures intended to protect the Service and reduce unauthorised access.

However, no online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You remain responsible for the security of your own website, server, application, account credentials and systems.

RedCaptcha should be used as one part of your website security and anti-abuse measures and should not be treated as a replacement for normal website security practices.

10. Data and Privacy

RedCaptcha may process technical information required to provide, protect and improve the Service.

This may include information such as:

  • IP addresses;
  • browser and device information;
  • request timestamps;
  • website or domain information;
  • verification results;
  • security and abuse indicators; and
  • account and usage information.

The way RedCaptcha collects and processes personal information is explained further in our Privacy Policy.

Where you use RedCaptcha on your own website, you are responsible for ensuring that your own privacy notices and data-processing practices comply with applicable law.

11. Intellectual Property

RedCaptcha and its related software, code, designs, logos, trademarks, documentation, systems and technology are owned by or licensed to RedCaptcha and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Your use of the Service does not transfer ownership of any RedCaptcha intellectual property to you.

Subject to these Terms, RedCaptcha grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the Service for your own authorised websites and applications.

You may not copy, sell, license, reproduce or commercially exploit RedCaptcha technology except where expressly permitted by us in writing.

12. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using RedCaptcha at any time and may request closure of your account through the available account or support channels.

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service where:

  • you materially breach these Terms;
  • your account creates a security risk;
  • the Service is being abused;
  • payment for a paid service remains outstanding;
  • we are required to do so by law; or
  • continued provision of the Service is not reasonably possible.

Where reasonable and appropriate, we will attempt to notify you before terminating an account. Immediate suspension may occur where necessary to protect the Service, other customers or third parties.

13. Limitation of Liability

RedCaptcha is provided on an "as available" basis.

While we take reasonable steps to provide a reliable service, RedCaptcha does not guarantee that the Service will identify or prevent every automated submission, security threat, fraudulent request or malicious action.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RedCaptcha will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses including loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity, reputation or data arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

RedCaptcha will not be responsible for losses resulting from incorrect integration, exposed credentials, third-party software, your website configuration, failures outside RedCaptcha systems or your failure to follow our integration instructions.

Where liability cannot legally be excluded, our total liability relating to the Service will, to the maximum extent permitted by law, be limited to the amount paid by you to RedCaptcha during the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

14. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify RedCaptcha against third-party claims, losses or reasonable expenses arising directly from your unlawful use of the Service, your material breach of these Terms or your infringement of another person's rights.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Any dispute relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa, unless applicable law gives you a right to bring proceedings in another jurisdiction.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove any consumer rights that apply to you under mandatory South African law.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Service, our business practices or applicable legal requirements.

The latest version will be published on www.redcaptcha.com together with the date on which it was last updated.

If a change materially affects your use of a paid Service, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice before the change takes effect.

Your continued use of RedCaptcha after updated Terms become effective means that you agree to the revised Terms.
